As a teenager, I dreamed of being a rock star. I played an Ibanez RG570, hot red, and guitar was like a fifth limb. I played in various bands, like a plaid-wearing, Dinosaur Jr, Uncle Tupelo-ish indie band with some guys in high school, a Christian rock band in which I got to cover The Red Hot Chili Peppers’ “Under the Bridge” and Nirvana’s “Smell Like Teen Spirit”. And then I started playing jazz guitar. But along the way, I got distracted. Life went on. Other ambitions tempted me. My guitars gathered dust. I spent nearly ten years in the legal profession (as a paralegal, law student, big firm lawyer, and finally a solo practitioner). But I started making films with SH, also an ex-lawyer, and that reawakened my creative passions. I had the opportunity to score our first two films. And I am hooked once again.

Now let’s get back to the music. – Francis Hsueh
